License agreement

License

• DeskRift is proprietary software of sole trader Maksim Viktorovich Matsiiak. The Free edition may be used for personal and commercial purposes with no time limit.
• Pro unlocks with a one-time purchase of a license key (DRLIC1.*); a 14-day free trial starts on first launch. The license is perpetual and personal, for up to 3 personal devices of one user.
• Decompiling or reverse-engineering (except where the law expressly allows it), modifying the program, reselling or sharing license keys, and bypassing the licensing checks are prohibited.

Third-party components and content

• DeskRift uses open-source components (including the mpv player, ffmpeg and yt-dlp) under their own licenses.
• The program grants no rights to videos, images or other material you play, save or use with it, including material from video platforms and wallpaper catalogues. You are responsible for having the right to such material, for following the terms of those services, and for using it for personal purposes within the limits set by its owners and the law. We neither host nor sell such material.

Updates

Pro includes free updates within the purchased license.

Disclaimer and liability

The software is provided “as is” and “as available”. Video platforms and catalogues change their rules without notice, and features that depend on them may stop working until an update ships. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for indirect damages, lost profit or data loss, and total liability never exceeds the amount actually paid for the Pro license. Consumer rights guaranteed by mandatory law are not limited.

Refunds

A license key is not returnable once delivered and/or activated; a refund remains available for a material defect of the program and before the key is activated (see the offer, clause 2.5).
